Gig For The Hall – Saturday 25th March 2017
T’ai Chi at the Hall:
And for families too:
All You Need Is Love, on 15th February, was a fun night organised in conjunction with Beggars’ Banquet Music Cafe. The hall was decorated with a Valentine’s theme and guests enjoyed food and delicious cocktails, and danced the night away. Over £200 was raised from ticket sales.
The New York Funk Night on 18th October also raised over £200 for the hall. Our thanks must go to the lovely people at Beggars Banquet Music Café in Shaftesbury who contributed so much to a great evening and helped us raise lots of money in the process. A good crowd turned out for what became a great party. We enjoyed lovely food and cocktails courtesy of the café, and partygoers danced the night away to groovy tunes from the decks of DJ Alex Myddelton.
Our tabletop sales have become an annual event. Tables are taken by small businesses or local people who have pre-loved items to sell, and the hall is soon buzzing with people looking for that pre-Christmas bargain. Delicious soups are served, along with tea and cakes.
We were lucky enough to book Misbehavin’, a jazz quartet from Shaftesbury, who played in the hall in February. We had never seen the hall so full! Candlelit tables set the scene for a great musical evening, and drinks and nibbles were served.
